12-Month Renewal

All components renew every 12 months. There is no 24-month frame restriction.

Annual Benefits

Members can use their benefit multiple times throughout the year. They are not restricted to using the entire benefit during one visit.

All plans are based on plan year.

Contact Lens Fittings

Contact lens fittings are independently covered. The only cost to the member is the co-pay.

Eyewear Allowance

Members can use their eyewear allowance to purchase whatever they wish – frames, lenses, contact lenses, special lens options, or any combination of these items, in the same plan year. Even non-prescription sunglasses are covered. There are no in lieu of restrictions.

Portability Plan

CEC offers a unique portability plan. When a member terminates employment, he/she has the option of continuing his/her benefit for as long as they like without a rate increase.

Provider Network

CEC’s provider network extends to all 50 states and includes 25 national retail optical chains, including Walmart, in-network.
