Using Your CEC Benefit

CEC's vision plans are designed to allow you to easily use your benefit every year.

Our Customer Service is available to assist you in using your benefit and can be reached Monday through Saturday at 888-254-4290 or by emailing customerservice@cecvision.com.

You also have access to CEC's secure Members Portal. There you can view claims and provider visit data, access eligibility data, update address information, print temporary Member ID cards, request official Member ID cards, and download various forms (including an out-of-network claim form).

Benefit Overview

With most CEC vision plans, you and any dependents you enroll will receive the following benefits*:

An annual routine eye exam
An annual allowance for eyewear
An annual contact lens fitting, re-fit, or evaluation

You can use your flexible eyewear allowance annually to get frames, lenses, contact lenses, and lens enhancements. Even non-prescription eyewear is covered! You can purchase exactly what you need for the health of your eyes.

Additionally, you can use your allowance "back-to-back" to double your purchasing power. For example, you can use your flexible allowance in the last month of your plan year to purchase frames. Then, when your plan year resets the following month, you can use your new allowance to purchase lenses. This method allows you to maximize your CEC plan to buy a more expensive pair of glasses.

In addition, you'll receive a 20% discount on the overage for both purchases from most providers.

Everyone needs an annual eye exam, regardless of age or physical health. During your exam, your doctor will check your vision and your eyes for common diseases such as:

Glaucoma
Diabetes
Cardiovascular disease
Cancer

Even if you have perfect vision, your annual eye exam is a critical component to your overall health and wellness.

Sunglasses Save Eyes

Sunglasses aren’t just a fashion accessory. They block harmful UV rays, which can damage your eyes. Because sunglasses are so important to eye health, they are a covered benefit under all of CEC’s vision plans.

Our expansive network of eye doctors gives you the ability to see your preferred provider.

Need a weekend appointment? We've got you covered. CEC's network includes 25 national retail optical chains, including Visionworks, Walmart, Target Optical, and LensCrafters.

To schedule an appointment, use our Provider Search to find a provider near you. Then, call the office you prefer to see and let them know you have a CEC vision plan. They will be happy to assist in scheduling an eye exam at a time that is convenient for you.
